The Highlands Historic District house plaque program was created as an education tool to those visiting our neighborhood by visually designating the homes that reside within the district and providing the year the homes were constructed. The intention of the program is to increase both awareness of and interest in the Highlands Historic District.

The plaques are 7” x 5” bronze oval that have the date of the homes construction and “Highlands Historic District” designation. The background of the plaque is painted black with with bronze lettering.

Information needed to apply to purchase a plaque for your home you will need provide the following:

  • Name of the property’s first owner and any historically significant owners.

  • Copy of the deed if available

  • Year house was built

  • Name of architect and/or builder, if known.

  • Significant architectural features of the home.
